Test Site No. 4: Questioning

This project has been presented in two iterations, both leading participants through a process of asking questions and awaiting unseen answers. In the first live performance, the Semi-Tropic Spiritualists conduct a ritual using bells, a device of historical mediumship, to summon the invisible. In the second iteration, the bell becomes a floating, automated device, allowing for individual audience experience of questioning the unknown.

The project was presented as a live performance at Richard Telles Fine Art, Los Angeles, and as an automated installation at Visitor Welcome Center, Los Angeles, and as presented by Lion Eyes at the Other Places Art Fair, San Pedro, CA.
